Signals Are Not Verdicts
Alerts and change signals help decide where to look.
An alert should answer:
- What changed?
- How much did it change?
- Which period, team, segment, or field changed?
- Is there enough evidence to review?
The receipt workflow shows what happened and how the explanation was produced.
Useful Alert Language
Prefer:
- "Revenue diverged from baseline"
- "Churn increased beyond threshold"
- "Pipeline changed enough to investigate"
- "Not verified until receipt is generated"
Avoid:
- "AI found the answer"
- "AI cannot be wrong"
- "Always accurate"
