Signals Are Not Verdicts

Alerts and change signals help decide where to look.

An alert should answer:

  • What changed?
  • How much did it change?
  • Which period, team, segment, or field changed?
  • Is there enough evidence to review?

The receipt workflow shows what happened and how the explanation was produced.

Useful Alert Language

Prefer:

  • "Revenue diverged from baseline"
  • "Churn increased beyond threshold"
  • "Pipeline changed enough to investigate"
  • "Not verified until receipt is generated"

Avoid:

  • "AI found the answer"
  • "AI cannot be wrong"
  • "Always accurate"
